Day 72 - 04/27/2007

Another week has passed. The carpenters are slowly finishing the exterior trim work so that the brick masons can begin soon.

Mandy and I had to go through the house and lay out where we wanted the cable and phone jacks.

Daisy is starting to familiarize herself with the new house.

Here is the back of the house with the siding finished. Our screened in porch will be on the left side of the house in the picture below.

Day 65 - 04/20/2007

Visible progress has slowed tremendously over the past week or so. We are close to being ready for brick. We should be starting to pick interior colors soon.

This is a picture of our foyer. We get bright afternoon sun across the front of the house.

This is one of my favorite windows in the house. It looks even better from the outside!

These are the windows across the back of our house. This will be great to relax in the family room with this much light!

This is looking into our kitchen. This little wall will be the framework for our bar / food prep area.

Check it out! The roofers are enjoying the warmer temperatures and making good progress. We should have the house shingled by Friday, even with the possible rain tomorrow.

We met with the cabinet maker last week to layout the kitchen cabinets. It will be a few weeks before we meet w/ the cabinet maker to select the style and color for the cabinets, but we have made our decision about where the appliances will go, what size will go in there and the general layouts for the vanities.

Day 50 - 04/05/2007

It finally looks like a house! They have just about completed the decking and will finish hanging the OSB on the outside in the next few days. We should have a roof real soon.

Wow!! That is a lot of roof!! I hope we don't ever have to replace this roof!!!

Check this out!! We have shingles on site! It will be a few days before they get all of the felt paper on the decking, but they should have us under roof by the end of next week.
